Characteristics
The golf course in Bad Kissingen is one of the oldest in Bavaria and the whole of Germany. It covers a terrain of 110 acres and is situated a mere 1.5 miles from Bad Kissingen. Its special characteristic is the Fränkische Saale meandering along and through the course. Since the Saale and the Lolbach provide enough hazards, two holes did not have to be equipped with bunkers or additional hazards at all.

Varied, fair tracks. Sometimes hitting the valley, sometimes over the mountain, sometimes along the river. Everything included. Old stock of trees and beautifully situated. And above all: super nice! A reception like in a wellness hotel (incl. shoe rental!) and dedicated service at hole 19. Can only be recommended.

Such old places always get a bonus! A lot is accepted there that one would be upset about with younger systems. A chipping green right next to a longer par 3 green, not visible from the tee. Crossing lanes, a long par 4 on which you have to share the already narrow lane with the foreplayers who are on the way to the next tee, rubber mats as tees etc..
Everything is ok, after all it is a traditional place. Less ok the musty reception in the secretariat and incredibly slow greens! There are clubs with just as much and even more tradition where it works better.

On June 20,2018, I registered as a guest of Mr. Golf at the Bad Kissinger Golfclub. The first telephone contact was friendly and professional as well as the registration on the match day in the club secretariat.
The place was in excellent condition. The Lord Golf Captain greeted me before the round. I was allowed to play with the president and the AK 65 Captain. Very nice people, the excellent hospitality.
I can 100% recommend the great parkland course and the nice people.
