Characteristics
This course is situated within the hedgerow landscape typical of Schleswig-Holstein on a slightly undulating terrain gently sloping downwards to the river Pinnau after which the club was named.
The course is characterised by wide fairways featuring numerous water hazards and huge trees bending down into the fairways. A particular challenge is the green of the 15th hole, which is laid out on an island.

While A/B is a beautiful parkland course, C is a very open extension that, in my opinion, unfortunately cannot keep up. Therefore, one point deducted. The second point deducted relates to the borderline course conditions. Because the irrigation system is broken, the course was borderline. The ball bounced extremely well on the fairways and the greens were different speeds, depending on whether they had been watered or not. In contrast to previous reviews, the gastronomy (delicious Italian restaurant) is praiseworthy.

A beautiful park course. Varied with trees and water. The course was in very good condition. Nice, fast greens. But these are currently very hard and therefore not directly playable. Nice pitching area and driving range. All in all, everything was very good. The star deduction is for the catering, which was apparently completely overwhelmed. After we had to move twice because other guests were apparently more important. It took Dazz over an hour to prepare a currywurst and chips. And we probably would have had one or two more drinks if there had been someone around to take an order.

Played as a guest player a week ago, the gentleman in the secretariat was very friendly and competent both on the phone and later when registering, by far not always the rule in the Hamburg area. The course is in good condition, the newer nine are quite open, but pleasant to play, the old course has a little more charm for me thanks to the old trees. The range is good, as is the pitching area. Since the terrace is also neat and tidy, the gastro service is friendly and the gastro prices are fair, I give it four stars.
