Characteristics
This course is situated within the hedgerow landscape typical of Schleswig-Holstein on a slightly undulating terrain gently sloping downwards to the river Pinnau after which the club was named.
The course is characterised by wide fairways featuring numerous water hazards and huge trees bending down into the fairways. A particular challenge is the green of the 15th hole, which is laid out on an island.

We were there in June 2025 and played A/B. The course is in good condition, considering the dry period. All the holes were excellent and had a variety of characteristics. The bunkers are in good condition and were always clear, which I unfortunately had to witness quite often. Storks, ducks, geese, pheasants, and even the occasional deer accompanied us in this beautiful landscape. In the clubhouse, we met only friendly people, and the restaurant, with its extremely attentive service, served delicious Italian cuisine. We would love to come back!

While A/B is a beautiful parkland course, C is a very open extension that, in my opinion, unfortunately cannot keep up. Therefore, one point deducted. The second point deducted relates to the borderline course conditions. Because the irrigation system is broken, the course was borderline. The ball bounced extremely well on the fairways and the greens were different speeds, depending on whether they had been watered or not.
