Characteristics
Set up on a terrain of 290 acres at the edge of the Rhineland foothills, this sophisticated course is the ideal location for an eventful and interesting day of golf. The successful design of the course, three loops consisting of 9 holes each, was created by Kurt Rossknecht.
Special consideration was given to the natural shape of the terrain that is counted among the Top Ten of German golf courses.

A few kilometers from Gut Lärchenhof, Velderhof and Cologne Golf Club, the 27-hole course (3X9) has excellent practice facilities including a golf school and fitting center.
Despite the proximity to power plants, these are hardly noticeable due to the thick vegetation. The red / white course combination was in good condition on match day.
The greens excellent, the fairways where irrigated as well, but where not irrigated, stained and partly grassless. The course plays solid with very wide fairways, without big surprises. The distance orientation up to green is in need of improvement despite the planted yew trees at about 150m without a rangefinder. This applies in particular to the missing colored base plates on the side of the tea boxes, as prescribed by the DGV. Very annoying at the shorter Par3 holes (Rot4 and Weiss8). The hole sketches on the tees are in heavily weathered "gravestones" that do not leave a well-kept impression that is appropriate to the beautiful grounds. Played the course on July 10,2020. Nice friendly and courteous reception, fair green fee prices; good maintenance condition, especially the greens, despite prolonged drought. Lanes but not particularly spectacular, overall space laid out flat, few water hazards - quite nice eg red 8 and 9.
Challenges often only arise from the length of the tracks. Club house functional and clean.
Overall, a fairly solid golf experience that you don't necessarily have to repeat because there are even more attractive courses in the wider region. But if you haven't played the course yet, you should plan a round if you are in the area and choose at least 9 from the 27 holes.
