Nestled among the hills of the Glencruitten Estate near Oban, this James Braid design offers a unique golfing challenge on Scotland's West Coast. Although a short Par 62, the course demands precision with its undulating terrain, tricky blind shots, and an abundance of technically demanding par 3s. Famous as the home course where Ryder Cup winner Robert MacIntyre honed his skills, the layout winds through bracken and native Scots Pines. History enthusiasts will appreciate the remains of a vitrified Roman fort near the 4th hole, while the renovated clubhouse offers a relaxing finish.

The course is just around the corner from Oban, yet it has a true Highland feel. Blind holes, inclines, precision is key.
I must admit, with a handicap of 48 I was overwhelmed more than once, and once I had to carry the ball around the obstacle.
The hosts and golfers were extremely friendly and accommodating.

With 10 par 3 holes you expect an easy game. But this is not the case. The site has it and makes in itself fun.
