Located in the scenic Moray region along the famous Malt Whisky Trail, Forres Golf Club offers a distinguished parkland experience steeped in history. Founded in 1889, the course is widely regarded as a James Braid masterpiece, featuring strategic refinements by Willie Park. The layout is celebrated for its spectacular setting, providing golfers with panoramic views stretching from the Cairngorm Mountains to the Moray Firth. Thanks to a unique local microclimate, the course enjoys remarkably dry and sunny playing conditions year-round. A highlight is the signature 16th hole, 'Pond,' a testing par 4 played from an elevated tee. On the way to the better-known places on the coast, you should definitely take the time to play a relaxing round in Forres. The place was mostly designed as parkland course, but also offers some tighter woods sections. He surprised one to the other with amazing discounts and some very varied tracks.
