Bit overrated

This review is part of my travel blog from our vacation. EGCC was our fifth golf stop on our roadtip. I played Niitvalja in the morning nad came to play there afternoon. Course is situated away from higway, close to the see and Jagala river. Be prepared that next to the holes is quite big residential area and you also walk through it. First what caught my interest was quite nice and big clubhouse, like it very much, what did not fit for me was the white summer venue tent, nevertless. You park next to clubhouse and driving range, great. They do have 2 courses Sea and Stone, I played only Sea. Checking proces was fast, I could use my Golfpiste card there which was perfect and also they gave me discount on fee due the condition of greens, and it was deserved, since they worst what I seen so far on our roadtrip. Hopefully it will improve over the year. I join play with local guy, which was good for me. Course starts on small hill going down to sea level. First few holes are surrouinded by trees and than you reach links part of course, to come back bellow clubhouse for 9th green. Back nine starts just below it with nice shot to par3 green, and than you walk down to sea again. Course is not very difficult, since its open but you need to have stroke saver to be sure about distances and where do you hit, especially at sea level. Finishing next to clubhouse. Took a shower and have to say I enjoy sauna there in Baltic states at every cloakroom. Lunch after game at restaurant is must, had great seafood soop. And also have to mention very friendly staff.
The bonus for me were that I join for back nine 3 friendly local people 2 ladies 1 man, and I have lot of fun with them, so thank you for this and it improve my rating to 4 stars.

Big dissappointment

For me it was the 40st countries on 6 continents where I have golf played, and today I saw a leaderboard about European amateur ladies tournament here. I was playing on the Sea Course and my remarks (on a scale 1-10, low to high) are :
- design : 7
- staff's friendship : 10
- concerning about Estonian golf future : 9
- golf facilities (including parking and practice areas, as well as Pro Shop) : 10
- fairways (very fast) quality : 8-9
- bunker quality : 10
- green's quality : 8
- game's speed : 4
- displays regarding hole's description or at least birdie book : 1 (!!!) , practically I was playing completely in blind.
- sloping : 7
- restaurant : 6
- easy to find out without a GPS : 9
So, below the line I would appreciate this as a regular golf course, despite its marketing.

Everything is right!

The Sea Course is a Country - Seaside course of the very first quality! The lanes alternate between rows of trees, country and seaside in Marshland! Perfect top-class care! In addition to Pärnu Bay Links, another world class course!
The Seacourse bears the PGA Tour logo in the club crest!

In the morning steam we played the 9-hole Stone Course, which is built as a link type with a pot bunker. Nice place, also worth playing!

The clubhouse is great, the kitchen is perfect!

Estonia is a very good golf destination that is well worth a trip!
The country is priced at our level, and more modern than we are in almost all areas. The people are very open-minded and happy, Estonia is great!

A real surprise!

Golf in Tallin has aroused no great expectations from us. All the better it was then to be found such a great place that can keep up, in fact, with many good places in Europe. Perfectly nestled into the Lanschaft (a mixture of parkland and links course), it offers everything the discerning golfer (we play Hdc. 10) sought: interesting, varied holes, great views, neat haircuts, bunkers and fairways and fast greens. The modern Wochendhäuser built stylish and understated along some paths and are very welcoming. You get really fancy a weekend on this course. In conjunction with the impressive old town of Tallinn (Unesco World Heritage Site), a number of good restaurants for example, d the 'Farm', very friendly and open-minded people was much too short for us the stay.

Surprise

Estonia will surprise you with a place that would be in Germany far above the average. A very well-kept, partly hilly parkland course with some holes that could belong to a links course. In addition, very well maintained. He is among the 100 best courses in Europe, rather then to the 80.-90. Place around. In any case, it is a trip to Tallinn (the old town is a gem and a World Heritage Site) and one round of golf there and in Niitvälja GC value.
This restaurant stands out with its Asian-influenced cuisine pleasantly from the usual Club restaurants from. The pro shop keeps the standard of clubs not quite.

Estonian Golf Course 14/06/2013

Due to a major tournament I played on this system. The splendid course at the same time by the sea and in a natural parkland and lovely service.
