We played the courses on September 20th and 21st, 2023 as part of a company tournament.
The condition was generally okay, but the tees were quite bumpy.
What was very annoying on the south course was that, in addition to many of the tracks, there were hiking trails with noisy tourists running past, or the tracks were right next to the hotel complex with pool operations and tourists sometimes "got lost" on the course! The paths from the green to the next tee were sometimes quite long.
The signage for Tee1 on the North Course doesn't say that you have to walk there for about 10 minutes! (Of course you have to walk the whole way back after the 18th!) What's actually not possible: course maintenance during a tournament! The negative highlight was a team that turned off the machines as we approached the green, but started them up again to work through the bunkers while we were putting - no go!!
The signage about the nature of the south course was well-intentioned, but some of it was no longer legible - it urgently needs to be renewed!
The staff in the restaurant couldn't be surpassed in terms of unfriendliness :-(

Played north course on 9/9/2021 / south course on 9/17/2021 The 36-hole course with an attached hotel is located near the Atlantic coast between the small Andalusian town of Huelva and the Portuguese border above the town of El Rompido. The North Course: As the name suggests, the North Course is located north of the facility and runs in absolute tranquility and nature, slightly hilly, between the national park and orange plantations. Again and again you can admire various species of birds in nature (signs for explanations are available several times on the fairway edge). A cart can definitely be recommended, especially since the first tee and the 18th green are a bit away from the clubhouse on the access road. There is another separate putt and chip area for the north course directly behind the street. In addition to the one or the other slight incline, one or the other path between the tees has to be mastered. The individual tracks are usually designed in a varied way. You should stay on the fairways. Some of them are limited by the national park (water hazards). There are doglegs, some with blind strokes, real water hazards that come into play and lots of well-placed bunkers. From a few raised tees you have a wonderful view of the area. The course is not particularly long, especially the PAR 3 are all very short but not necessarily easy. After 9 or 8 lanes you have come to the very end of the course, so you should rather play 18 holes. The condition was absolutely fine. Fairways, greens, tees, bunkers, everything with a few exceptions, perfect. A few haircuts a bit uneven. The cart paths could be a little better. The game operation on a sunny Thursday afternoon was manageable. On the first tee there was a list of flights for the day with the start times. Nobody started the hour before or behind us, so we were able to enjoy the round in peace and take photos over and over again. As everywhere in the area, the Spanish tend to play in the morning or in the late afternoon. Nevertheless there are start times. Until September 10th, we were able to book and pay tee times online via the homepage at a special price. € 37.50 per player was very cheap (cart € 28). The official prices according to the homepage, which are staggered depending on the season, look completely different and are definitely too high. The lady in the secretariat was more businesslike. Increased tees always invite you to take photos, along the lagoon and the nature park. The lighthouse of El Rompido and the marina overlooking the water and the housing estate are beautiful motifs. Finally, the path from the 17th green to the 18th tee over the long Steeg over the lagoon is uniquely safe. You don't necessarily have to take a cart, but it does make it easier to walk on the slightly hilly course from the 9th track. The maintenance condition was basically OK here, even if the fairway had foreign growth in one or the other place and many of the bunkers were washed out a bit, which was possibly due to the rain of the last few days. The game was brisk. Although the starting time was from 1:00 p.m., I ran into various four-way flights relatively quickly, where it was not possible to play through. The south course is certainly one of the most impressive golf courses in the region. Overall, there is a recommendation for two interesting and varied rounds for both courses.
