We stayed at the El Encin Hotel. The course has a somewhat links-like feel, even though the fairways have overly thick grass. The modern design, set in an open and windy terrain, requires some getting used to. Most of the greens are elevated, similar to links courses, and often run diagonally across the fairways, defended by bunkers and rough.
You need a really good day to achieve a halfway decent result.
