Fabulous course

We played the course in march 2013. Fantastic overall impression. Very kind staff at reception, first marshall that was not just complaining and looking to spped up people but rather asking if everything is ok and if we were enjoying the course.
Fairways were very well maintained but tough greens (more our problem than the course!), beautiful layout, especially hole 17 and 18 are a stunning finish.
Overall, definitively a must do if you play in dubai.

Bad luck with the greens

Played on January 23rd, 2024, very varied course. A bit noisy as car noise could be heard all around. Fareways and bunkers in perfect condition.
It was unfortunate that day that the greens had just been sanded, making it very difficult to control the speed of the putts.

Gulf on the river in the old part of Dubai

Played on 3/23/23. Probably the oldest golf club in Dubai, with its 18 holes, is very close to the old center of Dubai and, as the name suggests, directly on the Creek within a resort complex. At least on the first 9 you play past some villas. In contrast to some other golf resorts in Dubai, however, everything is ready here and there is no construction noise. However, you play on lanes 2.3, 4 and 14.15 along the E11 motorway, which you can clearly hear and see. But the course makes up for it with its great design and the wonderful location on the water as well as the view of the Burj Khalifa, for example. In general, water is a defining design feature. At lane 2 it starts with plenty of water hazards. At hole 6 you tee off from a pontoon built into the river, it continues with an island green and hole 18 has the river on the left and a very large lake on the right. All this when it's windy and you should have a few extra balls in your bag. The rough is also so dense that when you lie in it you sometimes have to stand right over your ball to even find it. Strategic play is the order of the day, although the mostly wide fairways tempt you to use the driver. The condition was excellent. The bunkers are finely avenged and the greens are top and fast. Another highlight is the striking modern clubhouse in the shape of a traditional sailing boat. Everything at its finest, including the changing rooms. However, there is only one refreshment station on the loop, but someone always comes by with the mobile snack bar. The staff are all very friendly. The game was busy on a Thursday morning but not overcrowded. Often there is a cannon start twice a day, but there are also days with normal start times. We booked the green fee via the VIYA app and paid €169 per player including cart with GPS. This makes the club one of the more expensive in Dubai, but it's worth it. On the round you can tap water at every second lane, there are no longer any plastic water bottles. Overall it was fun to play here and when it's windy it's an ultimate challenge.

Im a dream again

In 2023 the course is in top condition in terms of course maintenance, the visual impression of the facility and the layout of the fairways.
We have been coming to the Park Hyatt Hotel next door for a number of years and have enjoyed the convenience of the facility - driving range, floodlit 9 hole par 3 course and superb championship course.
Beautiful tee boxes, carpeted fairways, huge bunkers and great greens.
Blue course (penultimate tee) at par 71 around 6,260 m long - monstrous!

Top place, top hotel

We stayed at the Park Hyatt in March 22 and loved the overall concept. Hotel and place full 5 stars! The course was in very good condition. For our average handicap, the course was challenging to play. A surprising amount of water comes into play. It's good if you have members in the flight, that makes orientation easier. Tip: 18 holes from 3 p.m. until sunset, that was enough for the sundowner. Then on the Lakeview terrace with a dream view and delicious food.
The perfect service from the guys at the "equipment issue" would also have to be emphasized. We had borrowed a whole new set of racquets from Ping. Typical Dubai, everything at its finest!

Not quite as ideal, but...

…..just worth 5 stars.
What led to the criticism: a lot of sand is currently being applied to the square, since there is some damage to the space. The positive thing is that the problem seems to have been identified and work is being done to fix the deficiencies.
The layout of the entire system is of course still top, greens in very good condition, although some players have to be criticized because not everyone repairs their own pitch marks, a pity!
Perfect bunker, also with enough sand, not very soft but still good to play if you can!
Secretariat very friendly, Gastro very okay!

Great Place

Played the course on April 31,2021. The cannon start is always at 7:30 am and at 1:00 pm, which makes playing very pleasant. With the exception of the bunkers, the site is in very good condition. Unfortunately in a country like Dubai there is no sand in the bunker. The ambience is sensational and the holes that go along the creek are also very spectacular. However, the holes on the other side of the golf course are along a 10 lane motorway and are therefore very noisy. The clubhouse, which looks like an Arab sailing ship, leaves nothing to be desired. The golf reception and golf shop are very courteous and helpful.
In summary, certainly worth a round, despite the higher green fee.

Nice golf course near the center

Gorgeous stood golf course. Fantastic view of the creek and the skyscrapers behind. Condition 1A. Unfortunately by the surrounding streets relatively noisy. At high temperatures it is important to consider playing this course. Carts are only allowed on the Phats.
A stay in combination with Hotel Park Hyatt is recommended.

Still great!!

Are nice to train here often, hotel, training facilities, space, overall concept just fits perfectly.

Space heavy, greens extremely fast (super), fairways were apparently extended a bit, grass growth in small areas therefore still somewhat poor.
In the rough it is difficult because very dense and therefore difficult to play.

Otherwise consistent rating as 2018.

For me the best and most beautiful place in Dubai

.. even if I have not yet played Majlis, Trump, Earth and Montgomerie. The holes on the creek, some narrow fairways, the clubhouse, good training facilities, here everything fits. Be sure to play when you're there!

Top place!

I was simply thrilled!

A great golf course in every way! Light green fairways, dark green semi roughs and premium greens. And all this with an exciting layout and best care condition. But it also costs its price...

We played the course as part of an AIDA cruise. Compared to Muscat or Bahrain, the place was very busy. We always had "contact" forwards and backwards - and sometimes that was annoying. It is exemplary that a Marshall looks after a smooth game, but the pressure of the men there was occasionally annoying.

To mention is still the distinctive and very well-known golfers clubhouse. Class gastronomy and superbly equipped pro shop. Very nice: After the round you get a badge for the golf bag with engraved name.

If there is something negative to note, then the loud traffic around the place. The background noise is occasionally disturbing.

Great place, poorly managed

Unfortunately, neither membership nor handicap is asked in Dubai. On the beautiful, time-honored Dubai Creek place it's all over, no trace of etiquette in the square. The round of golf is disturbed by suddenly appearing flights and players who only just want to practice something and suddenly appear in front or behind.
The greens were in very bad shape, since apparently no one patched the pitch marks.
The range is recommended because sunscreen is available.

Great location in Dubai

Did the course 2x in Nov. 2017 played (2nd time was inclusive when booking through the app). I really liked it, especially the holes on the creek. Course was challenging, some very well designed holes. Staff very friendly, good range / training opportunities, competent starter. Also the food in the restaurant I found very good. Unfortunately, I only played 2 places in Dubai but I would play this place again whenever I should be there. Photogenic clubhouse!

A dream of golf course

Have on 11.02. and played on 16.02.2018.
In short, it has everything you could want from a golf course (best care, friendly staff, great clubhouse etc).
Next year again.

Super Site

Nothing has changed since 2014. Care condition of the greens sensational, consistent, undulating, fast-easy top greens.
Unfortunately, hole 7 has some sun damage, otherwise the place is in perfect condition.
Fairways are beautifully landscaped, no track is the same, the holes 17 and 18 along the creek are great from the look, but also very heavy.

Very nice place, great location

We played this course twice at the end of December 2017. Was very well occupied on both days. Nevertheless, hardly any waiting times. Place very well maintained. Staff very accommodating. Located right next to the Paek Hyatt Hotel. Always happy again

The best I've played so far

This golf course you have to have played in the life absolutely once.
The fairways are interesting and partly tricki. The greens are very well maintained - faithful in line, quickly and without Divets. A beautiful property with spectacular views of the Dubai skyline. The Dubai Creek is partially in the game just as beautiful water hazards. The complex has everything a golfer's heart. Super maintained, the service great, wash including rackets, and the twice-daily shotgun start regulates Time.
And who then still not his heart is up, go to the clubhouse - enjoy the view, the sensational atmosphere and service.

Optimal total supply

Driving range, practice facilities, par 3 course (floodlit), great clubhouse with good food and some. Live music, nice Secretariat and impeccable, heavier golf course - heart what more do you want?
The holes 17 and 18 have it in them, another deduction was even created artificially in the water! A great golf course, car with GPS.

Better before

The "Creek" was much better a few years ago. Today he is too noisy due to traffic. The tee times only by shotgun start twice a day. Even the fairway was formerly kept. Only average to happigem price.
