Characteristics
Crosland Heath Golf Club stands as a pristine example of Dr. Alister MacKenzie’s early work, remaining virtually unchanged since its founding in 1914. Perched high above Huddersfield, this classic heathland course offers spectacular panoramic views while being surprisingly flat and easy to walk. A defining characteristic of the layout is its orientation: the opening holes, as well as all Par 3s and Par 5s, play in opposing directions, ensuring golfers face the elements from every angle. The signature "tower" Par 3s are dramatically set around old stone quarries, requiring precise iron play.
