Absolutely the worst - for a resort course
1.0 of 5 starsReviewed October 12, 2016
Would never return. The check-in process was horrible. There were a group of us for a meeting and it took over 1.5 hours to check us in due to "computer issues" and only 1 person working. The course was filled with locals that were stealing our golf balls and trying to resell them to us. There were various animals (dogs, chickens) running around on the course. Had a tee time at 1:30 and didn't get off until well after 2, but had to pay the higher price. Very poor reflection on the Melia hotel. Food poisoning from tuna sandwich. I would find an alternative course in Punta Cana, this was is not worth the money they charge - golf carts are in need to be replaced as well. Afternoon was a waste - could have done another activity and I wish I would have.

The positives first: fairways and greens in perfect condition today!
The rakes were missing in the bunkers, but they were all in optimal condition!
There are no easy courses, even on this one - we played Hibuscus and Bougainvillea for two - you have to move on the fairways that are not too wide, because you will unexpectedly find the ball in the numerous trees or in the pools of the local residents.
Admittedly, these sometimes cross the fairway or walk the dog along the edge; that's a different challenge!
Admittedly, the tracks themselves are mostly straight, which can be a challenge even for professionals.
Conclusion: Many a place in Europe, which is visited by tourists, could learn a lesson in terms of price and, above all, quality!

Monotonous with many non-golfers on the fairways
2.0 of 5 starsReviewed January 8, 2022
We played the course on January 2,2022, namely the courses "Hibiscus" and "Bougainvillea". With the exception of Hole 2 Hibiscus and Hole 8 Bougainvillea, the course is boring and easy, so you definitely play your handicap.
While the service on the round was okay, numerous residents, whose houses are right on the square, seriously disturbed the game, as the fairways are used by the children as a play area! Even pedestrians who use the cart paths as a walk are not really put off by a loud "FORE"!
In view of these general conditions, a green fee of 100 USD is absolutely excessive!

Allegedly only 18 of the 27 holes are playable, namely the Hibiscus course (2,900 m long) and the Bougainvillea course (around 3,200 m long from the penultimate tee "Blue").
The courses do not have particularly outstanding fairways, hole 2 at "Hibiscus" I liked the layout best.
Fairways okay, bunkers rather not and for the most part there were no rakes, greens surprisingly fast!

March 19, no people, but who wonders? As in the Hotel Paradisus no green fee. No way. (Scrap) buggy without GPS and water for $ 65.- per person compulsory, (75.- for "primium buggy") what a bottomless impudence. Staff all rude. Place flat, layout monotonous and boring, fairways ok, greens ok. Will not play here anymore. Boredom is pure here! Choose different places!

We used the hotel Paradisus Palma Real booked, because it belongs to this court and golf alI was offered included. However, we paid $ 75 for the cart - probably noticed for one person.
The place has three stars, more I would not give. Nowhere sea view and no special holes. Botany is nice, but all the holes somehow equal.
The first day we played hibiscus and bougainvilleas. Where we have not so much the second nine. The second time we played hibiscus and Benjamina. This combination was better.

Resort area with many opportunities
3.0 of 5 starsReviewed March 31, 2015
The course has 3 x 9 holes of varying difficulty. You have the option of selecting "in his" skill. The shuttle service to and from the hotel works excellent and the prices (fee is includiert at most hotels) Car Service and bats are depending on the time of the tee-time. In good game going even at booking after 16:00 clock for 18 holes, because no one looks at the clock, if you have solved the green fee. At 14:00 clock is the perfect season with a favorable deal, because the whole day rule over the same temperatures and you can spend the whole morning at the beach. Booking via credit card at the vending machine in the hotel!!! Very handy... racket across the Atlantic to take unnecessary.

Last Chance Harvey

When we played the place for the first time, we thought nothing special.
The second time, but we realized that the place offers more than at first glance. Super-fast greens make this course additionally attractive.
Negative: hoechst poor reception in the pro shop.
