My 2014 review actually stems from a visit in 2007, when Real Madrid played Bayern Munich and we golfed for four days afterwards! In 2010, we were also in Madrid for the Champions League final, FC Bayern Munich vs. Inter Milan, for football and golf.
Now, almost 20 years later, Madrid is still not a golf destination for us Germans and Central and Northern Europeans! This is our first time in Madrid without football, this time for 7 days just for golf!
…of course, I also had the Club de Campo (which is now also called Real) on my schedule again! The Negro Course (where the Spain Open of the TP World Tour took place 10 days earlier) presented itself, as always, as a 5-star course in every respect! This time I also played the Amarillo Course. Which, by the way, is only a hair's breadth behind the Negro Course! If the yellow 18-hole (secondary) course were located here in Lower Bavaria, it would be by far the best course!
The hillside location of the facility, the ancient trees and the Triple A maintenance make the Club de Campo “Negro” one of the best courses in Spain!
