Enjoyed this immensely. The Grouse course was so impressive to start with. The only bad thing was the wind. It was incredibly strong and made what was already a very difficult challenge even more so. The Guadiana was very different but really enjoyed it too. Lovely clubhouse. Great food and very inexpensive.

This time we played Guidiana and Atlantik.
From the yellow tees onwards, instead of the white, even the yellow tees have a fantastic view of the border river, Ayamonte, etc. The white tees are even better, superb. Contrary to my expectations, the driver often worked on the Atlantic Course because at 200 meters the fairway was wide enough and the balls rolled towards the middle instead of outwards; the bunkers come at 160 meters. The constant ups and downs in the valleys were manageable with a carry bag at the end of October. Everything was quite green and well-maintained. Where does the water come from? A par 4 with 220 meters to the green. The greens were mostly as fast as a pool table. Often three putts were needed. But they took backspin. Fantastic, as there was a two-ball cart in front of us and three with push trolleys behind us. So we were completely alone. Without the golf cart, it would have been too expensive for us. Thanks to the nice ladies at reception.

We played Grouse and Guadiana again on March 29,2026, after several years. The green fee was inexpensive with our GNIG card. A buggy – highly recommended – cost €45. The course is very hilly and requires some blind shots. Course knowledge is important for a good score. The tee boxes were okay. The fairways were in a sorry state. We mostly played with better lies on the fairways. There were water bottles in the buggy, but a refreshment cart also drove around the course. The greens were good and became increasingly fast as the temperature rose. The clubhouse is well-equipped and the staff friendly. Although the course is only in the lower middle range compared to other courses, a round is worthwhile.
