Characteristics
Located on the outskirts of the historic cathedral city in Kent, Canterbury Golf Club offers a distinguished classic course established in 1927. Designed by the renowned architect Harry Colt, the 18-hole layout is celebrated for utilizing the natural undulations of the woodland terrain. The design incorporates natural valleys to create strategic challenges, most notably on the 12th hole, a par-4 playing along a steep slope, and the 17th, a quintessential Colt par-3. Recent renovations have restored original bunkering and cleared trees to enhance playability. The facility is complemented by a modern driving range equipped with Toptracer technology and a welcoming clubhouse offering excellent dining options.

The course is excellent. Some of the home players do not like to greet or smile, but each to their own?? A pity that some of the locals feel they can’t be friendly to visitors 🤷♂️
Otherwise the proshop and other staff were helpful and the course was in good shape. I would play here any time. Course is hilly but fun.

Wonderful golf course with many and varied holes. Because it already has not rained for a long time, the place is very dry and hard, by the golf balls roll extremely well. The staff at the pro shop are very friendly. On the whole, we have the three course plays.
