We have played the course more often in the last 2 years and have never been disappointed. It's always nice to play a round here.
The golf course runs flat through the terrain, the lanes were cut through a pine forest like aisles. On the back 9,3 lanes are designed in the open style of a heath square. Due to the tall trees, you play very sheltered from the wind and always find a shady corner so you don't have to play completely in the blazing sun.
Some lanes are sometimes long, but sufficiently wide, even if this is usually felt to be quite narrow due to the tall trees. Warped balls can also be found between the trees and can be put back into play with a cross chip. Around the greens, large bunkers with beautiful white sand await imprecise approaches. The greens are quite large and also wavy, so that very long and demanding putts are guaranteed to be required on the round.
The golf course is overall very nice and valuable. With the design of the course and the flat red clubhouse, one or the other may have drawn a comparison to Swedish golf courses...
Of course, meat is at the top of the menu at the Steakhouse Apache, but classic golfer dishes are also on offer. On the terrace you can sit nicely protected under the trees on the large putting green and relax after the round you played.

The 18-hole course is in absolute peace. The courses run quite flat, in the midst of tall pines. These are consistently very present and require fairly straight shots from the tee. Some of the tracks are long, the greens are quite large, and the condition of the space is great. Some larger bunkers around the greens await imprecise balls. There is only one water hazard on a par 3.
The layout is sometimes challenging due to the required length, and the holes are beautifully framed by the many tall trees. Towards the end of the round, 3 more open lanes come into play.
Highly recommended for an attractive round of golf "feel in the woods".
The gastronomy in the clubhouse is also excellent. On the terrace you can sit very nicely directly on the practice putting green.

Finally, it's May and the senior league has started again. All teams are looking forward to it. But it was a bitter disappointment for everyone. The place is still very nice in terms of architecture, fairways also neatly mowed, the daisies all stretched their flowers high. Nice to look at. But the golfer then also knows how the fairways are mowed. But that was bearable. The greens are wonderfully green, like an English lawn. Fantastic for cricket but we wanted golf and putting. In short, the greens were just way too slow. I praise myself Hainmühlen and finally, after years, GC Syke. Top greens, mowed short and fast.
Ok, so much for the game, unfortunately the gastronomy had changed. There were pre-breaded industry schnitzel (from the frying pan) with fried potatoes and 1 scoop of ice cream. So the GC Burgdorf is very expandable and not what it used to be. Too bad.
