Characteristics
The 18-hole championship course with its 2017 renewed greens is integrated harmoniously into the surrounding heath and forest landscape. Altitude differences are small and the course is mainly characterised by a dense pine forest with blueberries and heath. Because of its sheltered location and the even fairways, fair playing conditions are guaranteed throughout the year.

We played the course on April 30,2025, in summery temperatures. The entire course was already in excellent condition. Tees, fairways, bunkers, and greens, as well as the excellent practice facilities, were in absolutely top condition.
We particularly liked the two chipping/pitching greens, the practice green, the very nice short course and the DR.
This classic course, opened in 1969, has been accurately described elsewhere. In our opinion, it's in a league with the best courses of its kind in Germany, such as HH Falkenstein or Frankfurter GC.
The catering and clubhouse were also very good. The office was very friendly and had everything perfectly prepared. The overall atmosphere was very sporty (many teams, including the men's 2nd Bundesliga).
Absolute must play.

We have played the course more often in the last 2 years and have never been disappointed. It's always nice to play a round here.
The golf course runs flat through the terrain, the lanes were cut through a pine forest like aisles. On the back 9,3 lanes are designed in the open style of a heath square. Due to the tall trees, you play very sheltered from the wind and always find a shady corner so you don't have to play completely in the blazing sun.
Some lanes are sometimes long, but sufficiently wide, even if this is usually felt to be quite narrow due to the tall trees. Warped balls can also be found between the trees and can be put back into play with a cross chip. Around the greens, large bunkers with beautiful white sand await imprecise approaches. The greens are quite large and also wavy, so that very long and demanding putts are guaranteed to be required on the round.
The golf course is overall very nice and valuable. With the design of the course and the flat red clubhouse, one or the other may have drawn a comparison to Swedish golf courses...
Of course, meat is at the top of the menu at the Steakhouse Apache, but classic golfer dishes are also on offer. On the terrace you can sit nicely protected under the trees on the large putting green and relax after the round you played.
