Welcome to GYLDENSTEEN GOLF
Not long ago, these fairways and greens were fields of yellow wheat, part of Gyldensteen Estate. As you can see, they have been transformed into a beautiful 18-hole golf course, inspired by the links courses of Scotland. The course at Gyldensteen Golf offers versatile and challenging golf for both the experienced golfer as well as the beginner.
The 18 hole course is our pride and joy at Gyldensteen Golf. With its 106 bunkers and many hazards forming a dune-like environment, we have created a wonderfully varied course.
The highlight is the spectacular view from the 15th tee overlooking Juelsminde, Æbelø, Bogense town and Gyldensteen Golf’s holiday houses.
We welcome you, as well, to Brasserie Gyldensteen Golf with our kitchen and staff ready to satisfy the hungry golfer or other visitors to our restaurant. We offer simple brasserie style meals or more traditional menus for the dining pleasure of our guests.
As part of our project we are building 44 well equipped holiday houses of exceptionally high standard, which you are invited to let.
Our course is open for play year round, weather permitting. During the winter months (november-march) please call ahead to assure availability of our other facilities.
We have developed various “golf packages” for your golfing pleasure. These include rentals of our holiday houses, special meals and golfing activities. Furthermore we will endeavour to meet any requests. Our aim is to cater to our guests needs.

The cafe is only open by appointment, but the clubhouse is always available for drinks. Guests are also allowed to bring their own food and eat in the clubhouse or on the terraces; self-cleanup is required. For groups of 10 or more, it's possible to pre-order food from Jakob.

The club offers training with pro-trainer Daniel Cole. Free beginner, tournament, and junior training are available at fixed times. Individual lessons and group special courses are also offered. Free instruction days and Open House events are held with prior registration.

First off: this course was recommended to me by two different people. However, it's difficult to get a tee time since I, as a German, don't have a Golfbox account. The pro shop is also only open for a short time on three days a week. Fortunately, a nice lady was there last night and was able to sell me a green fee. The club itself is small with few members. Therefore, the whole setup seems oversized to me. However, the large restaurant is also unmanned.
The course is a links style with many well-placed, deep bunkers. The fairways were noticeably burnt, and the greens were rather slow by Danish standards, though comparable to German green speeds. There was no wind, making the course quite playable. The fairways are relatively flat, and there are no dunes. Those who dislike links courses should probably avoid this one.

A very nice place with many small bunkers. The fairways are difficult to see on some tracks... but that's what makes the attraction.
Fascinating is the change from Linkcourse to Parklandcourse on the last tracks.
