Gets better every year!!
5.0 of 5 starsReviewed June 8, 2023
We visit Løkken every year in May or June. And every year Blokhus Golf Club is one of our ToDo's.
I have to say that I have rarely seen this place in such good condition. The greens were fast and on track.
Many areas were cleared out and very nicely redesigned. The fairways were partially created with new flower beds, here, for example, lane 13. It was a lot of fun!!
However, you can also see that it hasn't rained in Denmark for a long time, but that doesn't detract from the place.
A big compliment to the greenkeeper and a big thank you to the very nice employee in the secretariat.
Someone had put three logo balls under the windscreen wipers as a welcome gift... Thank you again for that.

A beautiful, Nordic place

I played the course yesterday and found it in great condition. The course is not too difficult and nicely integrated into the landscape. A place that is just fun and that you can play twice.

Totally ok, but not particularly

We used the camper van as part of our Denmark trip, see our blog: www. the-golf-camper. de, day 9-11 Once again we managed to stand at the tee at 7:30 - and even master the green fee machine beforehand! Wow, if everything goes well, that's great, because the machine even prints individual score cards. Obviously the system is very widespread in Scandinavia and one can imagine that for Germany too. The tee times are booked online in advance, similar to a PC caddy or similar, and then you can pay independently at the seat.
The place was wonderful, not as varied as Lemvig or Jammerbugtens, but fair, wide fairways, fast greens and even with little wind. Meadow and heathland alternate, everything lush green, as we in Central Germany no longer know it. We later learned that there was so little rain in the summer that the club is even considering irrigation in 2021. We didn't notice anything of that. It was a nice quiet round, the reward for getting up early. And parking in the club parking lot helps too, of course.
