A beautiful, varied golf course with some exciting holes. The very moderate terrain crossings and some hanging fairways provide - with the holes directly on the Irish Sea - for a change.
The course is not too long, although there are holes there you have to stretch powerful, especially when wind is in the game.
Some drive landing areas are well guarded by large bunkers, making the fairways narrow. Target golf or above is the task. Also a few greens are strongly defended.
Unfortunately, we have not found any notes from our first visit in 1996.
We did not agree on how many stars he should get. The course would have earned four, the total package only three. The lot decided.

Square played in the beginning of July in the evening. The first 9 holes are more inland with partial view of the sea. The backnine holes are mostly along the coast. The place was well maintained and the greens were top. Blainroe is certainly among the best in the Arklow and Wicklow region. Not for nothing is the place of Golfdiggest as top 100 Ireland golf course gerated! For 30 euro a bargain!!
