Bergen-Hohne Golf Club
5.0 of 5 starsReviewed February 7, 2017
I was the Club Captain in! 984/85 and helped with the development of Club. It provided a facility for British, German, Dutch military personnel as well as civilians from all the nations. The course was difficult but fair. Enjoyed by visiting clubs and visitors from the surrounding area. An extremely friendly club with a pleasant atmosphere. It was a club I shall remember for ever. I wish the new proprietors every success for the future. and to golfers young and old if you are in the area give it a try, You will enjoy it.
Happy memories

I joined Hohne Golf club in Sept 1974 and stayed for 3 years. I found it to be very fair but good test of golf. You need all your skils to score well.
I would like to see the story of the first green keeper on the home page if possible

Golf in the middle of the military area
3.0 of 5 starsReviewed November 9, 2017
Played on 08.11.2017. The flat 9-hole course (PAR 36) with 18 tee-off options is close to the A7 Hannover / Hamburg in the middle of a military training area. Everywhere you hear military vehicles or practice shots and the atmosphere around the square is a bit unusual. Also, the access is via a road that is only released for the military and residents. Once arrived, you will find a parkland course without the really big highlights. Most railways are just going out and are quite open. There are no real water hazards. You should stay on the fairway, otherwise the ball can not be found in autumn. At a hole you have to play with a certain length Carry already a piece about heather to reach the fairway. There are some bunkers, but I managed to avoid them. The condition of my visit was okay except for a few tee boxes. The greens faithful and fast. The game mode was more than manageable on a dull but dry Wednesday afternoon in November. Besides we only had one more player on the way. The employee in the Proshop, who stands separately in a container next to the small, old-fashioned clubhouse, was friendly and helpful. He showed me the locker rooms and where to go for the first tea. The food was closed. The green fee for 9 holes was manageable and reasonable with 20 €. On a surcharge for guests without "r" in the card is omitted golfsportfördernder way. For a 9 or even 18-hole round without high standards certainly recommended. Who expects a noble meadow is wrong here!

Nice
3.0 of 5 starsReviewed July 19, 2017
A 9 hole course with really nice staff, in July very dry fairways (one is indeed in the heathland) which suggests that even after heavy rain here no mud forms. On the establishment game-determining bunker is largely waived, so far as I can remember, if every green except the 2 are played flat. I find the place easy, problems only the one whose ball the Rough finds, because he finds his ball probably no longer in forest and heather. Besides, he is more like a leftcourse, keeping the ball flat and straight and rolling it. Considering the really very British-simple overall plant excellent greens, where waves were dispensed with. If you do not see a break there is none. 30 Euro Tagesgreenfee is a bargain. This place can also be played twice thanks to variable discounts. Very nice, everything

Place with potential
3.0 of 5 starsReviewed July 31, 2016
A little gem in the Lüneburg Heath. For a long time a place of Army, now playable for all. Skillfully designed and very challenging through narrow lanes and very small greens. There is something missing in care and to modifications to a judge great place to make of it, the potential he had. Still a nice, if somewhat rustic Heideplatz.

Very nice place

The golf club was handed over by the British Army in a German club. The facility was in April at an amazingly good condition. Very nice family atmosphere. Here the sport and the fun is the focus. Always my pleasure.

Anyone who has finally found the place plays on tracks that are very well maintained. Green fee is cheap and fits the overall condition.
