golf on rolling hills

a very nice golf course on hilly grounds. many holes are difficult and challenging to play. lots of old grown trees, excellent bunkers some water hazards and very well kept greens. it's an old course just outside (east) of cape town. if you like to battle sloping fairways, give it a chance!
to me, anytime again.

Nice place in the city

Unfortunately it rained and we had enough wind... so there weren't many players on the pitch.
The course is varied, well-maintained, the greens are relatively fast despite the rain and the signs are ok for those unfamiliar with the course.
We used a cart for the hilly tracks, which is also recommended.
Fortunately, the road traffic (street circuit) wasn't that disruptive and some of the paths for the carts are obviously being renewed at the moment, for which we deducted one star overall.

Good and cheap, hilly

We still like the place (HCP 18.5 and HCP 31). There is a significant difference in elevation, so we use a golf cart. There are few tourists. Most South Africans are extremely friendly and don't have a problem if you tell them that we are "holiday sunshine golfers from Germany". There is also no irritated look when a man tees off from red, which makes sense for some very long holes. Favorite hole is hole 5, par 4: if you play tiger line over the hill, the ball can roll steeply downhill to the green, a birdie is almost guaranteed. The high number of green keepers for daily course maintenance is striking. Caddy master Piet and the whole team are as always friendly and helpful. Prices are still cheap, even for South Africa.
