Characteristics
This beautiful course, situated in a typical landscape with heath, pine and birch forests, was built in 1963 by the British Rhine Army and gradually expanded to 27 holes. The not very long course demands a precise game because inacurate hits negatively affect the golfer's score as the fairways are framed by forest and bushes and there are water hazards at the sides and at the front.

Condition as of August 26,2025, was very good. Tees, greens, and most of the fairways were in good condition. The fairways were beautifully carved into the forest and offered a variety of terrain. We encountered eight deer during our round. It's a beautifully quiet location, and we'd be happy to return. A five-star rating will follow when the course reopens as a restaurant; after 18 holes through the forest, we were missing a nice cold drink.
We hope the club finds the right operator for its catering operations very soon.

After the devastating criticism, we drove to the pitch with stomach aches. The weather was cold with drizzle. But we are still really excited about this golf course. The layout is probably one of the most beautiful that Germany has to offer. The price-performance ratio is great. The condition is more like 4 stars, as the bunkers call for some attention.
