Gem in mountains

Spain golf vacation 4/5. Coming to Costa del Sol to play some good courses. This course is highlight of our trip, its our gem in our trip.
We loved mountains so we loved this course. It was a bit drive from Nueva Anadalucia but worth of it. Once arrived we had that wow effect. We had very easy checking and we felt welcome, I would not comment training areas because we did not go. Course is starting with easy par 5 and than exciting par 4 and we thought we seen the best, but no. Par 3 as 3rd hole is preparation for what will coma later. On next holes are many great shots and great views, love it. Obviously I prefer front nine, despite I believe back nine is most probably easier. If I have to choose signature hole I will have a problem but would go for 5 or 13. Value for price is really 5 stars there, because its much cheaper than down at coast. For sure will come back to play again. We had lunch at restaurant and it was also very good and tasty.

Tricky golf stunning scenery

Stunning mountain course, its eccentric (Like Sevvy) and difficult even for single figure handicappers, but well worth the trip! You need balls to play this course (In more respects than one!!) But you wont be disappointed. I will be back to try to master it challenges later this year again.

Mountains and valleys in the hinterland of the Costa del Golf

Played on September 13,2025. The 18-hole course (par 72) with driving range is located in the hinterland, surrounded by mountains between Málaga and Marbella. It's about a 20-minute drive inland from the A7 coastal highway. How Seve came up with the idea of building a golf course here will likely remain his secret. The clubhouse with restaurant (not in use) is functional. The lady in the pro shop below the restaurant was very nice. While the course's location and some narrow holes make it challenging, it's not unplayable. High handicappers should choose the forward tees and have a few extra balls in their bag. The obligatory cart (no GPS) is advisable simply because of the elevation changes. Furthermore, the distance from hole 18 to the clubhouse feels like two kilometers. Overall, you should play strategically. Due to slopes, many balls roll into the rough, even with good tee shots. In the pro shop, first-time players receive a sheet with playing tips for each hole. On the website, you can also watch videos of the individual holes. From hole 11 onwards, the back nine becomes a little flatter, but more water comes into play. The development along the edges is rather discreet, or rather, the apartment complexes are finished. So, you play a lot through natural surroundings with plenty of trees. The condition of the course was patchy. The fairways had foreign vegetation. Furthermore, the fairways were often very wet, even though it hadn't rained. Some fairways should have been closed to carts. Some tees were worn, and the bunkers were rock-hard and untreated. The greens were playable, but not always in optimal condition. Nevertheless, play was lively. On a Saturday afternoon, there were many men's foursomes out and about. Due to the challenges described, play took correspondingly longer. Our round lasted an agonizing 5.5 hours. A tee time can be booked via the website. The price varies depending on the season and tee time. We paid €71 per player, including a cart, which is comparatively reasonable for the region. The course is certainly spectacular, but there are even more spectacular courses in the region that are in better condition. Nevertheless, you should explore the course at least once. Don't expect to play to your handicap.
