We are on holiday in Abruzzo and on Friday 05/17/2024 we decide to book 18 holes in Miglianico which, however, is closed and we don't know when it will reopen. Not wanting to give up the day we fall back on Adriatico Golf Club and after calling we were confirmed to have the availability of play the 18 holes.
Upon our arrival we find a clubhouse in partial abandonment and after having taken a look at the pitch which at first glance seems to be in very poor condition, we ask the person present if the pitch is playable. The answer was that the starting tees were in bad shape and that some farways were in bad condition (5-6-7-10 if I remember correctly), the greens had just been cored and that the cost was €40 each. not discountable due to property provisions.
Having seen and considered that we had traveled 60 km to get there and we had equipment with us, we decided to play.
I won't dwell on the description of the pitch, it's not worth it, it was simply unplayable.

I first played in August 2021.
The course is spread over slopes that are not shaped at all to make them golf fairways. What should be fairways are actually tracks slightly wider than a two-way road, with transverse slopes that give the ball unpredictable trajectories. The greens, small and hard like marble, make it impossible to shoot directly at the green from distances greater than 10m, on pain of seeing the ball sink miserably into the surrounding vegetation. The greens have patchy grass and once hit the ball jumps like a frog into the pond.
The hitters, the size of a single bed, are almost always completely free of grass and rarely allow the thrower to figure out where to throw.
The landscape is very beautiful, open to the Majella and the sea, but the plant would need a large investment to completely remodel the route.
