Opened in 2010, Oitavos is a new 5-star luxury resort, embedded in the Portuguese national park Sintra-Cascais and situated on the Atlantic coast. The clear and modern architecture might seem almost futuristic, using primarily glass and blue colours, while numerous sculptures and works by contemporary Portuguese painters set highlights. The 142 rooms, including 14 deluxe suites, one premium and one superior suite, all offer balconies, which allow for spectacular views on either the ocean or the golf course. The three restaurants, “Atlantico Pool Bar”, “Les Herbes” and especially the gourmet restaurant “The Ipsylon” stand for culinary diversity. The hotel also offers a spa area where a holistic wellness philosophy and natural cosmetics are applied. The spa area also includes heated indoor and outdoor saltwater pools. The highlight for the golfer is of course the golf course Oitavos Dunes, which impresses with its modern club house and great views on the Atlantic.
