Abbiamo soggiornato allo Steigenberger Hotel a El Gouna durante l'ultima settimana di ottobre ed era relativamente tranquillo rispetto alla prima settimana di novembre.
Il volo da Monaco a Hurghada è durato circa 4 ore e da lì abbiamo preso comodamente la navetta dell'hotel, che ci ha portato all'hotel in 30-40 minuti.
L'infrastruttura dell'hotel è eccellente. Le camere sono spaziose e recentemente rinnovate, soprattutto il bagno. Il letto era un po' duro, ma avevamo un ampio balcone con vista sul campo da golf. La pulizia della camera era eccezionale. L'hotel dispone di molto personale di servizio, ma la cordialità e la disponibilità della reception potrebbero essere migliorate.
L'hotel offre un servizio navetta in barca per il golf club, che è una caratteristica interessante. C'è un centro benessere dove ci siamo goduti un massaggio e una palestra che apre troppo tardi alle 9:00, quindi è difficile rilassarsi prima della colazione che chiude alle 10:30.
La colazione era eccezionale con un vasto buffet che offriva specialità locali e internazionali. Il complesso alberghiero è distribuito magnificamente sull'isola tra le lagune e non sembra mai sovraffollato. I giardini sono ben tenuti, ma l'area della piscina potrebbe essere un po' più grande.
Un punto forte è stata la possibilità di prendere un Tuk Tuk ed essere nella Marina in 5 minuti, dove ci sono molti ristoranti e bar.
Avevamo solo la colazione inclusa e la sera cenavamo fuori dall'hotel.
Per quanto riguarda il campo da golf, abbiamo giocato cinque volte allo Steigenberger Golf Course. Il percorso era ben tenuto, ma a ottobre e novembre faceva ancora molto caldo. Si consigliava di giocare la mattina presto o il tardo pomeriggio. Con un handicap di nove, il percorso sembrava relativamente facile, soprattutto quando non c'era vento. Anche se alcune buche potrebbero essere un po' monotone, c'erano comunque dei posti bellissimi, come la buca 17 lungo l'hotel.
In sintesi, siamo rimasti entusiasti del nostro primo viaggio in Egitto e il rapporto qualità-prezzo è stato eccellente. El Gouna è una destinazione artificiale ma pulita e accogliente con un'atmosfera internazionale. La prossima volta, abbiamo in programma di fare una partita a golf all'Ancient Sands Golf Course.

How do I book my trip online?
After you have received an offer, which you like, please click on the orange button "Book now". Then fill out the short questionnaire (regarding information about travellers and tee times) and send the form. After receiving your booking, we will verify the availability of the hotel. The deposit is 20 percent and is due immediately. The balance is due four weeks prior departure.
How can I redeem my discount code?
You can enter the discount code from the Albrecht Golf Guide in the booking form. Alternatively, please send us your discount code by email to travel@albrecht.de, after the booking has been confirmed.
Can I cancel or rebook my trip?
Yes, you can cancel at any time. Up to 35 days before departure of your trip cancellation is free of charge for you, unless there are other cancellation conditions listed on your offer and invoice. We have a few hotels that do not offer free cancellation when using an early bird discount. However, more over 90 percent of our partner hotels allow free cancellation up to 35 days before arrival. After that, staggered cancellation fees apply.
