Il cibo era scadente. La musica di sottofondo costante era orribile. Salvo poche eccezioni, il personale della reception era sopraffatto anche dai compiti più semplici.

Per chi cerca temperature piacevoli e non vuole volare a Dubai o Città del Capo, questa è una buona destinazione per il golf a prezzi moderati. Lo Steigenberger è in ottime condizioni dopo la ristrutturazione. Avevamo una junior suite vicino alla zona centrale, rendendo tutto facilmente accessibile. L'unica cosa strana è che, sebbene ci sia una macchina Nespresso in camera, si ricevono solo quattro capsule come omaggio di benvenuto e ci si aspetta di ordinarne/pagarne altre. Nescafé e tè vengono riforniti gratuitamente ogni giorno. Il ristorante principale offre ampio spazio e il buffet per colazione e cena è adeguato. Il servizio è abbondante e attento. Il ristorante giapponese è molto buono, ma i posti a sedere sono limitati, quindi è consigliata la prenotazione. Ci sono numerosi ristoranti nelle zone di Marina e Downtown, facilmente raggiungibili in tuk-tuk, taxi o Uber in pochi minuti. Le tariffe dei tuk-tuk all'interno di El Gouna sono decisamente troppo economiche, con una tariffa fissa di circa 1 € (50 EGP), e gli autisti accettano volentieri monete da 2 €.
Il campo da golf El Gouda è raggiungibile dallo Steigenberger Hotel tramite un servizio navetta in barca, e il campo pratica presenta delle isole nella laguna: davvero interessante! Il campo è percorribile a piedi, ma sono disponibili e-kart (30 €). Sono disponibili anche pacchetti scontati da 3 o 5 round, validi anche per il campo da golf Ancient Sands. Il noleggio delle mazze costa 30 € a round, ma purtroppo non è prevista una tariffa settimanale.
Ancient Sands è un campo vasto e ventoso, quindi si consiglia l'uso di un eCart. Lungo i fairway sono inoltre in corso numerosi lavori di costruzione.
All'arrivo a Hurghada, è necessario acquistare un visto per 25 USD. Si consiglia di utilizzare gli sportelli bancari ufficiali sulla destra, piuttosto che i chioschi degli agenti sulla sinistra, per evitare di pagare troppo (anche in EUR). Nella sala arrivi, ci sono stand che vendono schede SIM egiziane (ad esempio, Vodafone 15 €), ma se soggiornate in hotel, la connessione Wi-Fi è disponibile ovunque. Alla partenza, c'è uno stand Pearl Assistance che velocizzerà i controlli di sicurezza e i controlli passaporto. Il costo è di 25 € a persona, ma è consigliato in caso di lunghe code ai controlli di sicurezza.
Nel complesso, è stata una settimana di golf meravigliosa, torneremo sicuramente!

La nostra stanza era molto buia. C'erano molte zanzare e non c'era nessun repellente!
Purtroppo ci hanno dato una stanza diversa solo pagando un sovrapprezzo inaccettabile, nonostante fossimo rimasti lì per 14 giorni.
È un vero peccato.

How do I book my trip online?
After you have received an offer, which you like, please click on the orange button "Book now". Then fill out the short questionnaire (regarding information about travellers and tee times) and send the form. After receiving your booking, we will verify the availability of the hotel. Once your stay is confirmed by the hotel (usually within one working day), you will receive our confirmation email together with an invoice for the amount due. The invoice can be paid online by credit card or by standard bank transfer. In case the hotel is not available for the requested booking period, your booking will be cancelled without any charge, and you will be informed immediately.
How can I pay for my trip?
The invoice can be paid online by credit card or by bank transfer. In the our email with your invoice you will find the link to the online payment system as well as the invoice in PDF format with our bank details.

The deposit is 20 percent and is due immediately. The balance is due four weeks prior departure.
How can I redeem my discount code?
You can enter the discount code from the Albrecht Golf Guide in the booking form. Alternatively, please send us your discount code by email to travel@albrecht.de, after the booking has been confirmed.
Can I cancel or rebook my trip?
Yes, you can cancel at any time. Up to 35 days before departure of your trip cancellation is free of charge for you, unless there are other cancellation conditions listed on your offer and invoice. We have a few hotels that do not offer free cancellation when using an early bird discount. However, more over 90 percent of our partner hotels allow free cancellation up to 35 days before arrival. After that, staggered cancellation fees apply.
