Travemünde has a fascinating history as a traditional seaport. Today, it attracts visitors with its charming Baltic flair. From here, you can discover boat tours, beach walks, and nearby Lübeck. Travemünde is about 70 km from Hamburg and 280 km from Berlin.
Daytime passage through the Kiel Canal/Germany
The Kiel Canal resembles a living ribbon nestled into the Schleswig-Holstein landscape between Brunsbüttel and Kiel, connecting the North Sea and the Baltic Sea. The almost 100 km long canal is the busiest artificial waterway in the world and shortens the journey around Denmark by up to 900 km for ships.
