In the barren vastness of the Namib Desert, Lüderitz appears like a colorful mirage on the edge of the Atlantic. The colonial houses with their bright facades tell of the past, while time seems to have stood still in the abandoned ghost town of Kolmanskop. Penguins and flamingos gather at the water. Lüderitz is a place of contrasts that tells of tranquility, melancholy, and the beauty of solitude.

Gqeberha, formerly known as Port Elizabeth, offers an inviting atmosphere with its many sunny days and extensive beaches. The coastal city in southeastern South Africa received its new name in 2021. Humewood and Summerstrand are particularly popular for walks. The cityscape is characterized by the brick-red bell tower of the Settlers' Memorial Campanile, which commemorates the first settlers in 1820.
