On this very spacious and level terrain, 18 holes were practically hidden within the landscape. The long course is mainly characterised by the old oak trees and beeches framing the majority of the fairways. A precise aim is required if you do not want to add a penalty shot for hitting the water to your score, because you sometimes need to play over or around more than just one hazard.

As part of the OWL network, we (HCP 10 / HCP 26) played the course in mid-July 2025. Inspired by the positive reviews from other golfers, I agree with them.
Very friendly welcome, clean sanitary facilities.
Personally, we don't like the course layout at all, as almost all holes involve playing between tall trees on relatively narrow fairways; the greens are also unfortunately not particularly fast.
We like open parkland courses, but for those who prefer tight wooded courses, Gütersloh might be the right place.
The extremely numerous horseflies and biting flies that persistently follow you around every hole are also annoying. So please bring plenty of spray and use it...
We will definitely not play on the course again, as there are nicer ones in the area.

The place is beautifully designed and very well maintained. You immediately feel at home because the reception in the club office is hospitable.
We were registered as a golf group of 16 people and everything was well prepared. The reserved carts were immediately available and the tee times were booked.
The club members are also friendly and helpful.
Unfortunately, the catering was a bit overwhelmed and poorly organized. Due to an evening event, not everyone could get food.

This year, the golf club celebrated its 50th anniversary and is certainly one of the oldest clubs in Germany. Accordingly, the tracks are lined with mature trees and by very good space maintenance a scenic pleasure. Varied place with straight fairways and no hilly contours. Finally, you should definitely use the good food on the clubhouse terrace. That's what makes Westphalia fun! Unfortunately, I could not charge my electric car, which clouded my otherwise perfect impression a bit.
