Played this course as part of a golfing holiday and were very impressed - very well kept course with long challenging holes. Well laid out course with beautiful views and friendly staff.
Playing the course

As 9 hole person graduating to 18 holes, (max handicap, lady) I found the course extremely challenging. I inspected every bunker and believe me, I have never seen so many bunkers on a course. Not for the fainthearted and you have to be extremely accurate.
Downhill going out, not bad, all uphill coming back (when you are tired, well at least I was after inspecting all the bunkers) However, the course is stunning, very well kept and the staff very friendly and helpful.
A definite challenge...

A new, fresh and interesting arrival to the Costa Blanca golf circuit. Initially the thought of having to repeat holes to make up the 18 was a little less than inviting. However, once you look at the vista before you as you stand on the first tee, you can see the challenges ahead. Large, silver sand bunkers, but plenty of fairway as long as you hit your ball relatively straight. Water very much in play as I found to my cost, "oh for the invention of golf balls that float!" Some good challenging doglegs with opportunities for opening up and giving "full blooded" swings. For the brave amongst us even the opportunities to "cut the corners" although playing at my standard it is not something I fancy myself - go for a safe par - forget the amazing eagle. The staff at the VistaBella Golf Club I found to be most helpful and I found this course well worth the visit. It will be good to see the remaining 7 holes completed, making it even more of a golfing experience. Anyone fancy a round call me on Tel: 966 718 631 or email me barryjones1@talktalk. net.
BEAUTIFUL AREA

I VISITED VISTABELLA GOLF ON 6./12 /09, IT IS SET IN BEAUTIFUL SURROUNDINGS AND ALTHOUGH IT IS VERY NEW IT LOOKS LIKE IT IS GOING TO BE ONE OF THE MOST POPULAR COURSES IN SPAIN. A TEMPORARY GOLF HOUSE IS IN PLACE AND PLANS ARE IN PLACE TO BUILD A MUCH MORE LAVISH ONE - WELL WORTH A VISIT EVEN NOW. I AM LOOKING TO BUY A PROPERTY NEARBY NOW AS AN INVESTMENT. I ONLY RATED IT 4 STARS BECAUSE SOME WORK STILL NEEDS TO BE FINISHED AROUND IT.

Very well maintained
5.0 of 5 starsReviewed October 6, 2024
We play the course at least once a week when we are in Spain. The course is very well maintained, fair play, and the prices are reasonable compared to other courses in the area. What we personally like a lot is that we can go with our dog, quickly do the back nine early in the morning, that's great.

Ordinary Course
4.0 of 5 starsReviewed January 13, 2024
We played the course in January. I like this place and would like to come back. The holes are varied and fair, easy to play, the greens are fast and stable.
But what I don't like is the pro shop and restaurant area. Little emphasis was placed on ambience here. But perhaps that will come at a later date. Everything seems a little cheap - but that doesn't necessarily correspond to the GF prices.
For me, the DR is one of the “worst” I have encountered here. The balls are also - as so often - terrible. But it also costs money! That's why only 4 stars!

Callaway Logoball for 2€ is still the best otherwise not recommended

If you like teeing off from artificial turf or mats, you can try it out in the pampas for a lot of money.
Watching the ball roll and roll and roll after the tee is just a matter of luck. There is no fairway, instead there is Caribbean sand in the bunkers. Here the operator has probably tried to bring the South Seas into the mountains. It would have been nice to have paid more attention to the watering.
All in all, nothing is lost here. Rather spend the money on the driving range. It's much better than the place and also very cheap.

Advisable
4.0 of 5 starsReviewed February 4, 2022
Read the comments here before booking a tee time. And when you have played the course like today, questions arise. for example :does fiveiron know the difference between terrain and bunker? The bunkers are filled with PERFECT sand, if he found rock-hard terrain obstacles (covered with palm trees) then you have to distinguish them from bunkers. So again, for everyone: there are PLENTY of bunkers and they are very playable.
It takes some getting used to the fact that the fairway on most holes is made of Bermuda grass, which is known to turn light blond in winter, but was colored here with a visually appealing green color. Tees and greens are sown with another type of grass, which is also green in winter. Maybe Albrecht will publish my pictures that document that.
The place is very nicely laid out and very well maintained, the visit was correspondingly lively, pre-booking is strongly recommended. The clubhouse is temporary, as is the pro shop and the toilets, we wouldn't shower here. Remarkably good and friendly instruction at Tee1 by the Marshal. We'd love to come by again. Oh yes: you only have 18 holes, the place had only 11 for a long time. Update the golf watch before you come!, but the new holes fit in seamlessly, well done!

Not bad

The place is demanding, just by the constant up and down. Faiways ok, Greens top.
Should you play when you are in the area. Buggy is recommended.
And as written before: except for the pro shop you can forget everything else.

Nothing for billiard players
4.0 of 5 starsReviewed May 7, 2019
I'm very happy that this place has now received the remaining 7 holes and I could go on my first round. A golf course beautifully embedded in the landscape. There is no room for players who love to stand on level fairways and beat their balls out of level. Not only the greens are undulating, the fairways have it all. The fairways have a solid surface and the balls roll for a long time. If the player takes the terrain into account, amazing distances can be achieved. The architect has saved with bunkers in the finest way. The fairway and green bunkers demand everything. Sheep was that the bunkers are equipped with very hard sand and a decent bunker game only partially reach. It would be nice to see if after a long hot day the grass is still there or maybe it is dehydrated and the fairways are so hard that the pleasure of playing disappears. The place gets a thumbs up and return guarantee from me. The driving range was good and long beats were possible. The putting green was an absolute disaster and should be significantly revised. The greens on the course were top. The restoration leaves something to be desired; The club sandwiches and the chips were very neat. The sanitary facilities are also to be criticized. No soap and paper towels available; Here's the thumb down. All in all, I'll be back; to play golf.

11 hole golf course well resolved
3.0 of 5 starsReviewed November 3, 2013
Is just not a whole number 11 +7. The reason for the remaining 7 holes already exists. Space is a bit cramped and often one hears "Fore". Also from our flight. Many bunkers and water comes into play which in turn makes the place interesting. Is certainly a good place when it is expanded. Price performance is fine.
