...it is a beautiful and very well maintained resort, with a good golf course that is also well maintained - should be a private club. Apparently the membership numbers are not enough, so it is now open to the public.
The course is practically begging for the Diver, there is plenty of space to play, no trees or palm trees to get in the way from the tee. The fairway bunkers are hardly ever in play.
The CEC Golf Design Group has its office north of Orlando, in Apopka, and has designed or renovated around a hundred golf courses - we have already played a few.
The course designers Clifton and Ezel have done a great job in creating a completely flat and exciting course, which opened in 2008. It has back tees of just over 350 metres per hole. As is typical for Florida, water is in play now and again.
The greens are moderately modeled, with small differences in level, which are easy to play, but were slow in speed today.
Good clubhouse with fine food, very friendly and helpful staff.
It was fun, we didn't deposit any balls today...
