The Ocean Course is situated within the touristic course of Vale de Lobo directly at the sea. Originally this course contained 18 holes, which were styled by Henry Cotton. In 1972 a loop of 9 holes was added. Out of this 9 holes the neighbouring Royal Course with 18 holes developed in the last few year.

A lot of up and down, may be better to drive the course and not to walk.
Fairways is pretty good quality, greens not bad either, a bit too slow.
Design and layout not interesting enough.

Unfortunately, we were only able to play the "Ocean" course and were more than satisfied with what was on offer. Great, varied fairways, beautifully maintained fairways, bunkers with soft and fine sand, greens that were fast and true to the line and in some places very undulating.
Layout is great, hole 7 is very nice, hole 9 with its side watercourse and small waterfalls is great to look at.
The second nine is also very beautiful, especially the fairways towards the sea or along the beach.
The course is very hilly but you can still walk it easily.
The construction work on the first nine holes was somewhat disruptive.
