1894!
4.0 of 5 starsReviewed July 15, 2025
Founded in 1894 – a truly historic place!
The course may be showing its age, but the green fees are fairly priced. Huge, mature trees line the fairways—a classic parkland course. The mostly slightly elevated plateau greens are spacious and therefore anything but easy to play.
During our visit in July 2025, it hadn't rained for two weeks, which left the course feeling somewhat dry. Overall, it's a beautiful, well-maintained course, although I personally missed a bit more of a challenge – with the exception of the treacherous greens.
I would like to highlight the exceptional service provided by the staff: The shaft of my driver broke during my round. The team tracked me down on the course and provided me with a replacement driver free of charge. Afterward, I also received detailed advice in the pro shop regarding a possible new purchase. Bravo! That's service you'd expect!

Very nice parkland course
4.0 of 5 starsReviewed September 2, 2019
08/26/2019. Hcp 4 and 16: As so often in Ireland an old, traditional golf club. Super friendly reception. € 40, - green fee. Very well maintained and quite challenging Parkland Course with everything that goes with it. Greens are topdressed weekly (Tues.) (lightly sanded), which has disappeared after 2 hours. A real recommendation away from the (expensive) tourist places. Tramore is a small coastal town with a huge beach.
