Tower Links Golf Club

Tower Links Golf Club opened its doors in May 2004 with the floodlit back nine and Golf Academy. In January 2005 both the front nine and the Clubhouse were also operational. Located in the rapidly developing Emirate of Ras Al Khaimah, the Golf Course meanders through a mangrove reserve with the Hajar Mountains serving as a majestic backdrop. Tower Links now possesses an active Golf and Social Membership whilst also catering for the demand of Golfers from the surrounding Emirates as well as the growing International tourists.

Tower Links Golf Club is a challenging 18 hole, par 72 golf course. The club possesses an outstanding range of facilities enabling golfers to improve their standard of play. The back nine holes and practice facilities are fully floodlit for night play.

The course is 7,200 yards in length with four tees: Championship, men, seniors and ladies, therefore providing tee-off opportunities for all standards of play.

Well-maintained course with challenges, compromises at the clubhouse

Played on March 19,2025. The flat 18-hole course (PAR 72) is located in the Emirate of Ras Al Khaimah, about 100 kilometers north of Dubai International Airport. Depending on traffic, the journey takes about an hour. The golf course is easy to find, as it is conveniently located between two highways – accordingly, traffic noise accompanies you throughout your round. The signage on the course is minimalist: There are only simple metal panels with the hole number and PAR information, so you have to rely on your scorecard or your own GPS device. It is particularly noticeable that holes 2 to 4 run along the back of a shopping mall. To reach holes 5 to 7, you have to cover a longer distance and cross under a highway – here, the use of a cart is definitely recommended. In front of the underpass, there is a restroom at a futuristic-style halfway house, which was never completed. The course presents several challenges, particularly for players with higher handicaps, who should preferably play from the front tees. There are numerous water hazards that often require a precise and long shot to reach the opposite bank – especially on holes 9,10,16, and 18. The 13th is quite narrow from the men's tee, while the 17th begins with a blind tee shot through a narrow opening onto the fairway, which is barely visible. Here, even the second shot can be obscured by the 90-degree dogleg. While many tees are relatively open, dense bushes and water hazards pose constant challenges. The overall condition of the course was very good – with the exception of the bunkers, which appeared hard and somewhat unkempt. The tees, fairways, and greens, however, were in perfect condition. The undulating fairways and the fast, true greens deserve particular mention. There is no driving range. For warming up, there is only a net next to the clubhouse, directly in front of the starting area, where you also pick up the cart. The cart itself does not have a GPS, but was included in the green fee, as were two small bottles of water. A major drawback of the club is the dated clubhouse. The sanitary facilities, in particular, leave much to be desired. From the outside, the building looks attractive enough, with a view from the 18th green, but the interior is in dire need of renovation. However, the service more than made up for this – from the staff in the pro shop to the starter and the grounds staff, everyone was extremely friendly. A warm sandwich we ordered was delivered directly to the course and was available at a very fair price. The back nine can apparently also be played under floodlights after dark. We booked and paid for our tee time online. Prices vary depending on the time of day and day of the week – the sundowner rate is the cheapest option. The association fee of AED 10.50 must also be paid on site. Play was extremely quiet on our early Wednesday afternoon – almost too quiet. The course was quiet, so we were able to play the round in peace and quiet. Those who take the drive along the highway might even spot a camel or two along the way. Those who aren't expecting a luxury resort will find a relaxing round of golf at the northernmost golf club in the Emirates. Overall, a solid 3 stars.

Golf pair at the end of April 2018

The golf course is well maintained to very well maintained the greens are very clean very well maintained but not very fast. The place is suitable for players from handicap 36 we were there in late April 2018 the weather was unfortunately too hot (36 degrees) to play golf. The golf course is very easy to reach by taxi and the prices of the taxis are also very cheap. Recommend 100%. Everything else is already mentioned in the reports.

Exotic Golf Course in the mangroves with muezzin in the background

I have played in front of two and a year ago in Winter (2012 + Ya Ya 2013) there several times Golf:
The plant is at the club house very nice, and very well maintained; here comes Lo 9 and LO18 together. (10 -18 have floodlights, which is on warmer days for playing advantage, not necessary in January and February, however.), The tracks are very long, many doglegs and lie down wonderfully in the water-rich mangrove landscape. Tees and greens are very well maintained. The greens themselves very quickly, curled and especially difficult.
Some large obstacles on the mangroves make the "golfing" here exciting. Since it is also a bird sanctuary, you can be distracted by the bird life.
The clubhouse welcomes the player with a friendly "Wellcome to the 19th Hole"; the service could be a bit more accommodating.
The Pro Shop offers what you may have forgotten.
Caddy service is good: who plays several times can be let "stuff" without hesitation there.
Price performance ratio excellent: clean, beautiful place with real sporting challenge, very green. Much cheaper than Dubai. Afternoon, no waiting. -> Video:
