Shame on you Mr. Montgomerie

This a public course for the price of an exclusive Golfclub. They have to renovate the course and close the course for 4-5 months. Fairway has 4 (!) kind of Grass and many, many not repaired divots. On many places on the fairway there is any grass. Everybode can play you don't have to show a Golf Federation card or Hcp. Don't play this course because for 180,- euro...!!! there are in Dubai a lot off better golfcourses.

This course is fantastic, we played three times during the week we were there. The course is challenging as the three of us who are all at different levels of the game had plenty of highs and lows. No matter how many times you play there you can't help bit stand at every tee and soak up the breathtaking backdrop. The facilities were first class as you would expect and nothing was too much trouble with staff often surprising you with their levels of customer service. A special mention for the guys who load the buggys, always a friendly smile which sums up the whole place

Played on January 25th, 2024 Fareeays, bunkers and greens in perfect condition!
The slightly undulating fareways were a pleasure to play, and with a view of the Dubai skyline: awesome
For me personally one of the most beautiful places in Dubai

Very nice place

Played on November 21st, 2023 with rental clubs from Tailor Made. Service good and thorough. Quiet place with beautiful views of Dubai skyline. I was expecting a lot of ball loss because of the many water obstacles. But it wasn't just 1 into the water in 18 holes. A few greens had brown holes - therefore only 4 stars.

Everything in the green area at Monti

Played on 3/14/2023. The 18-hole course with attached hotel resort is located practically inland directly behind the Emirates Golf Club. The place is much quieter away from the main roads, but is almost completely surrounded by villas. The mostly very large and exclusive villas do not disturb, but some of them are still under construction, which brings with it the corresponding background noise. The course is a classic resort course with a few water hazards that come into play. However, almost all fairways are extremely wide. In addition, there are some well-placed bunkers, especially around the greens. The condition was perfect, the game operation on a Tuesday afternoon manageable. The two of us were even able to start the loop a little earlier and only at the end ran into a four-man flight in front of us. There are refreshment stations with toilets and service on the round. Tee times can be booked and paid for online. With the Troon Executive Card, which you have to buy once, you get very good discounts of up to 50% for bookings from 7 days before the round, which incidentally applies to all Troon courses in the region. The clubhouse is modern and the staff friendly. Collin Montgomerie's Rydercup Bags are displayed in a display case wall. The cart, with name and starting time, and a small bottle of water and the range balls are included in the green fee. We paid €113 per person plus AED 10.5 for the golf association which is almost cheap for the region. The carts, of course with GPS and fabric-covered seats so that it doesn't get so hot, are included in the green fee. A cart also makes sense, since one way or the other between the tees is a bit longer. You also cross a few smaller streets several times. There is also a 9-hole short course, but it is currently being completely rebuilt. The driving range is a bit away from the 1st tee, but you have a cart. Overall, I can recommend the round. The place is not so crowded but overall pleasing.

Totally relaxed

Neither the secretariat nor the caddy master wanted to see our vouchers. This was unique to the other clubs in the UAE.
The course joins the ranks of the top places behind Emirates.
It is now in the middle of the metropolis.
We felt comfortable all around and would love to come back.

Nice with lots of water
4.0 of 5 starsReviewed November 8, 2019
Nice golf course. Unfortunately we chose a bad time. The place was only from the champion tea box and the greens were sanded, which reduces the overall impression. I am aware that it takes place maintenance measures, but without notice and at full green fee a no go

A great place with beautiful water hazards
4.0 of 5 starsReviewed May 19, 2019
The course is visually beautiful and sophisticated the fairway are sometimes heavily undulating. The quality of the place is high. I played the course in April 2019 and the greens fast. A play from the pre-green is completely sufficient with the putter enough to control the ball on the fast greens. What are especially challenging for long hitters are the water hazards, which are very often in play and you have to play tactically well in order not to go out with a very high score. Especially at hole 18, a water hazard comes into play twice. But despite the difficulty you should play this course and should be a must when visiting Dubai. If you want to play the courses in Dubai and Abu Dabi, you should definitely start your teeoff. com, as the green fee players will be able to make an inexpensive reservation here.

Beautiful Place
4.0 of 5 starsReviewed February 1, 2018
We played here 2 weeks ago and were very happy with the lay out and the maintenance of the tracks and the greens. The course is very pleasant to play and ball losses are rare. Reception and clubhouse are ok. The restaurant is then, with a few small beers, a bit expensive. Why not a 5th star? Well, it is not perfect here. We think, price / performance at just under EUR 600, - (including rackets and cart) do not fit, sooo great is the place then not synonymous and if you tried in the pro shop a few polos and then buy only one, it is over quickly with the friendliness. Logoballs did not exist (were out), forward, in advance is not possible!

Nice quiet place
4.0 of 5 starsReviewed January 27, 2018
We played this course twice in December 2017. The last reviews are obviously from 2015. It seems to have improved a lot since that time. We find space really nice and well maintained. In contrast to other places here is nothing to hear of city noise or construction noise. Like many other places there is a lot of water and many sand bunkers. That makes it very varied!

Unfortunately, only 3 star worthy
3.0 of 5 starsReviewed March 13, 2014
Unfortunately, the state space and their care do not correspond to "Dubai standard"!
Course layout, greens, club house etc. are beautiful, 18-hole world class.
The "all around", the fairways, the care of the waste area's are, unfortunately, the negative points.

Beautiful area with small flaws
4.0 of 5 starsReviewed December 10, 2012
The layout of the Montgomerie is uniquely beautiful, many bunkers, variantennreich Koupiert, only has a wrong type of grass crept (tussock) and also divots were repaired poorly on the fairways, so the star deduction, which may not be in this price range. As a signature hole is safe hole to designate 18th Clubhouse and catering at the highest level.
