Strongly wavy left course in a rustic condition.
The space is usually very narrow and absolutely precise play is essential, otherwise the ball is almost untraceable in the very tall grass. Therefore only for golfers with very precise aiming equipment.
Because most of the club members here don't reach this level, after every tee shot you see the large crowd swarming to the left to look for the ball. This is taken very seriously and can easily take 5 minutes each. You will most likely still not find your own ball.
From this it follows: our 18 holes lasted almost 6 hours!!! So even single handicappers have to be masochists here.
fairways: just about enough. greens: nicely undulating and fast but quality is also just sufficient. bunker: very deep, great sand.
The big problem is the blind paths. For example, holes 1,4, 5 and 18 are played completely blind. you never know whether you'll be able to hit someone or whether you'll end up getting shot down yourself. In any case, this is an absurdity and unacceptable.
For this and for the totally poor time management on the pitch (no ranger) there was a 1* deduction.

Those looking for links golf will find it in Tenby. The course runs alongside the long South Beach and offers beautiful views that can easily distract from the game. Whereby this place immediately punishes unfocused play. A lot of blind shots have to be played here and the drive landing zones are rather narrow - if you have correctly anticipated the direction. In addition, there is high dune grass, deep pot bunkers and a fairway so hard that the bounce and roll behavior of the ball is more a matter of luck. I "only" lost 6 balls on 18 holes, which I think is not bad for this place. When it's still nice and warm - like for me on August 29th, 2022 - the large differences in altitude also pose a sporting challenge. The entire reception/clubhouse/proshop was very nice and uncomplicated.

Beautiful Links Course
