Response to Sunset being a "racist" course

I happened to be playing behind the group that supposedly split up their group of six. Everytime the course monitor left they would regroup as 6 players. They took over 3 hrs and 15 minutes to complete 9 holes. The average is about 2 hours for holes. Sunset is a great course to play. If you are a beginner or have young people learning to golf, I suggest going to the range or have beginners tee off from 150-200 yards out. That way it keeps them interested in golf and does not set them up for disappointment.

Racist Golf course

Sunset golf course reminds me of Sunset towns where Negros better have there butts out by Sunset. This is Sunset Golf course. I had the opportunity to play this course with my daughter and some friends on the 4th of July yesterday. First off the course is very nice and fun to play the reason why I gave it such a low rating is because the Harassment that I received from the course monitor. Yes, we were playing a little slow, but we had 2 new players and a 5 year old. The monitor approached me the only Black man on the course once and told me that my group needed to break up which we did. No problem!! But when our group finished the 9th hole he approached me and only me stating that I needed to go to the office. Where he stated that he approached me 3 time on the course asking me to break my group up. This was a bull faced lie. He was really irate and nervous yelling as if I was a child. I kept my composure, so to calm the situation down bc I knew if it got worse me as the only Black person I would be blamed if this all went south. All though we had a great time I will never play here again. And I advise any black person planning on playing here not to!! There are many other nice courses in the area. History of things named after Sunset usually are not friendly to people of color think about that!!!
