Not really great golf, rather 2*

The golf course is on slightly hilly ground and i have the impression, they wanted something special – but it failed.
It's a links-like course with a few trees and plentiful sand bunkers. endless – i have never seen so many bunkers on one golf course! all with good sand BUT at the edges all around the bunkers there is very dense links grass; 1-2 meters/yards wide and around 30-60cm/1-2feet high. hard to find and to play a ball in there. you are better of IN the sand!!!
The fairways are extremely short cut and very dense, something like an unmowed green. if your club get's too early under the ball, the result of the shut will not be very satisfying.
And another major problem is the constant intense noise from the interstate passing the course.
To get things worse, on the day we played, the greens were sanded to an extend, that there was no green (all 18). it felt like being on a beach. i understand, that maintenance has to be done, but then please say so and maybe offer a discount in advance.
A positive thing at last: the 19th hole is a restaurant and has a pretty nice menu.
Conclusion: the 19th lifted the rating to 3 stars...
But still, i would not play the course again.
