Characteristics
A warm welcome awaits you at Skibbereen and West Carbery Golf Club. Located 3km from Skibbereen town the 18 hole, 5,967 yard course is set against the backdrop of the internationally known Lough Hyne and the beautiful village of Baltimore and its surrounding islands.
You will find the course enjoyable and relaxing with a gentle aspect. Watch out for the "Amen Corner" - holes 12, 13 and 14. These holes afford magnificent views but don't be fooled by their apparent ease. They have caught out the most accomplished golfer!
Unwind in the welcoming clubhouse - relax with a creamy pint of stout and choose from an extensive sample of culinary delights on offer.
Originally a 9 hole facility founded in 1935, the club celebrated its official 18-hole opening with the President of Ireland Dr. Patrick Hilary in 1993.

Uncomplicated & beautiful
4.0 of 5 starsReviewed August 11, 2024
Nice welcome, everything relaxed and uncomplicated. Absolutely fair price. Parkland course, well maintained, medium difficulty. A bit "narrow" in places, ie some tees lead over tees or greens of other holes, which requires concentration when it is busy.

Long paths in the warm rain
4.0 of 5 starsReviewed June 23, 2013
We played the course several times and jedemal us, the coastal drizzling rain caught. Nevertheless, we like to come back to the place and is quick to play for themselves and only moderate. Especially with the second 9 are tricky paths with several not always be recognized early flags, the tactical and cautious player is an advantage here.
Very nice staff and a traditional clubhouse with decent selection.
