* royal * - yes... and it was fun.

Whoever calls himself * royal * is, to a certain extent, entering into an obligation.
In fact, the golf course with its naturalness, its noble surroundings and the very old trees have that certain something.
But after the first 4 holes I thought: * oh dear ... * - flat, wide, little challenge. but all wrong. you just have to consider the first four holes as warming up, because from the 5th hole onwards this place reveals its real potential. from then on it's narrower, more angular, more demanding, wavier / slightly hilly and really fun.

in a nutshell: fairways in good shape, well-placed bunkers with good sand, nicely undulating greens, very few water hazards and the mighty trees I already mentioned at the beginning.

what the space really lacks is: a reasonable description of the route. Illustrations would be helpful for the four blind tees (really exciting variations). you also have to look for the distance information.

the 19th hole made a very good impression, but was unfortunately a bit limited in operation (corona).

Conclusion: if in the area - don't miss it!
