Characteristics
Founded in 1888, Royal Antwerp Golf Club holds the distinction of being Belgium’s oldest golf club. Located in the scenic Kapellenbos since 1912, the venue features a renowned 18-hole Championship course designed by Tom Simpson. This superb wooded heathland layout is characterized by sandy soil, heather, and stately pine trees. While the terrain is relatively flat, the course demands strategic precision to navigate the tree-lined fairways and clever bunkering. A second 9-hole course by Willie Park Jr. completes this historic destination.

Entering the clubhouse you can smell the old days, just like the members inside. Very bad furnished club house. This is a stark contrast to the beautiful course in a good atmosphere. Good maintained fairway and fast greens. So enjoy.

Pure Tradition, Ancient World Class Design by Tom Simpson, for me the best place in Belgium!
Gorgeous pine forest, top bunker design (even 4 circular pot pots)!
On the first 9, the place is good, on the second 9 Royal Antwerpen is almost world class (in phases it is him)!
We also played the inner course (9 hole) from 1888, nice design but a bit short, you can- but you do not have to play! If you're in Antwerp and you're a golfer you just have to play Royal Antwerp (TS Course), 85, - € are a bargain for this old top spot ... !!!
