Breathtaking and challenging

Small but beautiful - and full of challenges: This is how the 9-hole "Posthotel Alpengolf" course presents itself on a high plateau above Achenkirch. Precise play and absolute concentration with every shot are the prerequisites for mastering the round. Numerous biotopes, a really steep climb (immediately after the first, short hole) and various other obstacles teach even advanced golfers a whole new level of humility in many unexpected situations. An excellent greenkeeper team strives with exemplary success from early morning to late evening to ensure the best possible conditions on all fairways and greens. The breathtakingly beautiful 360-degree Alpine panorama also creates a very special holiday feeling and makes up for the odd failed shot on the round. Guests of the Posthotel Achenkirch (within direct sight of the golf course) can drive directly from the hotel entrance to the course in a cart and also take the steep climb mentioned above very comfortably. A remarkably friendly secretariat and a cozy restaurant (inside and outside) provide a pleasant setting for a perfect round of Alpine golf. Conclusion: The exceptional Posthotel Alpengolf course is truly worth five stars!

I really liked the place, beautifully situated in the mountains, sheep and deer gates next door, quiet, fresh air, beautiful tracks. The lady in the secretariat in the morning was in a very good mood, friendly and helpful.
The brevity of the place can be seen in the description. From hole 1 to tee 2 it is very steep uphill, but that's about it. The rest is easy to manage with an e-trolley without getting out of breath - I'm normally (un)athletic.
Yes, you don't always see exactly where the ball should be, but who cares? That's what makes it exciting. The tracks themselves are varied and fun to play, each has its own charm. Lane 6 is a nice challenge with the biotope "in the middle of the way", two deer watched me briefly at the green. Something beautiful like this is remembered.
Of course there were also turnovers. But honestly, there are always times and warned by the previous reviews, I only played with lake balls, so that I can get over the three balls in the biotope on 18 holes.
The expectations and demands on a golf course are very different. I fell in love with this place.

First of all - I usually really have a soft spot for target golf requiring "funky" course designs outside of the usual mainstream. This place is certainly one of them, but here, in my opinion, it has been exaggerated.
Except for a really challenging par 5, only relatively short holes with constantly sloping fairways and greens, so that even properly hit balls disappear without a trace in the numerous biotopes. There are only such, no hard rough, hardly any semi-rough.
Lane 1 30 meters difference in altitude uphill, then another 50 meters up, then 7 lanes up on a plateau, and the "signature hole", the 9, is a joke in my eyes.
Short par 3 safe 25 meters downhill, below a small green and a pond, hidden from view from the tee. You hit half a gap wedge into nowhere, and when you get down there is a ball, or maybe not.
A golf course was laid out with a crowbar, where no one would actually fit.
In the end it is a nice mountain hike with occasional golf games.
No infrastructure such as toilet or water dispenser on the square.
Do I now advise against trying it out? No, definitely not. Everyone should make up their own mind and then judge.
I would recommend a lightweight half-set carry bag. Drivers and long woods make little sense. It's not fun with the trolley, there is hardly any level place, the load is always in danger of tipping over, which has happened a few times.
The friendliness of the staff and the players present and the quality of the gastronomy are very positive.
From a golfing point of view, this is unfortunately no longer average, the third star is benevolent for the proper course maintenance, the good environment and the extremely fair green fee.
