Characteristics
Situated within the atmospheric Portumna Forest Park in County Galway, Portumna Golf Club offers a tranquil parkland experience where the River Shannon meets Lough Derg. Established in 1913, the course is defined by its mature woodland setting and the herds of deer often spotted crossing the fairways. The 18-hole layout (Par 72) challenges golfers with undulating greens and strategic doglegs. A highlight is the signature 17th hole, known for its elevated tee and sweeping views. The club includes a restaurant and practice facilities.
