I played the course with three members of the golf club! The hospitality in the pro shop, the fellow players and the starter was outstanding! The course was in perfect condition. You often have the opportunity to use the driver. You emerge from the bunkers through the fine sand. The greens are super fast and often very undulating. The landscape and the view from the 9th hole make it all the better! I would definitely play the course again! I just have to say that Irish links golf courses are in a different league!

Royal County down or Portrush are clearly too expensive and snooty. Donegal has some fantastic links courses. Portmarnock is crowded and very mainstream. And the hotel is very old and overwhelmed by groups of travelers and party groups. PS Mount Juliet played 2 weeks before the Irish Open. Top condition. For - hold on - 80 euros per person.
