Last played here 15 years ago when there was no hotel. The course has matured very well and the greens are excellent. Still think the 6th hole is disappointing but otherwise a fair test. Easily walkable. One of he best around.

Approach via a barely signposted road with a sign pointing to a golf course. The road in question has clearly seen better days. Arrived at a golf resort that gives a rather insolvent impression, only the golf course seems to be surviving. Restaurant closed. Perhaps things are different in the summer months when the holiday season is over. Reception friendly and helpful. The course was in good condition. As already described, many of the fairways go up and down, including slopes and doglegs. On the hilly course with blind shots, local knowledge cannot be a disadvantage. On the second nine, a Tuscany hike is included in the green fee, not least because of inadequate signage. The semi-rough in question swallows balls, especially with blind shots or doglegs. Definitely 4 stars. Large room, large bathroom (we have for € 15, - per day to upgrade to a junior suite booked) and good breakfast.
The place is actually only about 25km from Florence. So you can after your round of golf make wonderful still a city tour to Florence. And Florence is really a terrific city. I recommend a visit really!
