The National is a top-notch overall investment (there was plenty of money available) located approximately 35km northwest of Bucharest. The clubhouse is superb, everything is high-quality and harmonious. The renowned design duo Sterling & Martin have created a good course on a flat area. It's all in a country-inland style, but ultimately a bit unspectacular! The course was impeccably maintained! The signature hole is without a doubt the island green on the 16th! Currently certainly the best hole in Romania! The National and the nearby Bucharest Golf Club are two fully-fledged and excellent courses in a country where golf is still in its infancy.
