Characteristics
The parkland 9-hole course in immediate vicinity to the city is the closest golf oasis for Munich's golfers. It is situated nearby the zoo Hellabrunn, on the western riverbank of the Isar. Since 1910 golf has been played here.
The not particularly long, but quite narrow fairways demand a precise game. Players that tend to slice and hook might meet their own personal Waterloo here. After the round enjoy yourself at the clubhouse´s sundowner-terrace. Probably Munich´s finest.

Gem in the middle of the big city

The 9-hole course is wonderfully located in forest aisles between the high banks of the Isar. The only Munich city camping site is right next to it at the landing stage for the tourist rafts from Wolfratshausen. The Hellabrunn zoo to the north with hiking trails and the mountain bike trail to Grünwald also runs parallel to it. So there are a lot of people around the square. Right there you can see surfers because of the city's 2nd surf wave. The Maria Einsiedl natural swimming pool in Munich is also located there. As a golf vacationer, city visitor or motorhome owner, you can spend a week here.
About the course: As already noted, it is not a designed premium course. If you want that, you should go to the 18-hole parent company in Straßlach. The green fee required for 9 holes is more likely due to the described top location. The fairways run parallel to the Isar / Canal, always north-south, Dog lay free, and are shady except at noon. Longer par 4s have sufficiently large landing zones for the driver. The par 4 around 300 m I would play with iron because it is narrower and a lot of white. The greens are well-groomed, modeled, appealing bunkers and water complete the picture. The par 3 have neat tee mats. The local branch of the clubhouse in Straßlach is appealing. If you would like more atmospheric food, I recommend the "Asam Stüberl" with Irish "star chef" or Kuffler's "Mangostin" in colonial style including an Asian premium beer garden about 500 m north of it.

So I think the place for 9 hole way too expensive! Fairways very tight and not really nice from the care! I prefer to play for smaller money and super maintained fairways in Germering! As already mentioned, clover, dandelion etc! Of the par 3 you have to beat mats! So there are far nicer and better places for a cheaper green fee!
