The Lake and Woods

We played both courses and were pleasantly surprised. Everything was well maintained, apart from the occasional large amount of duck droppings (but there isn't always someone who can clean up after that). Wide fairways that allow even players with higher handicaps to get through the rounds without losing too many balls.
Lots of animals, especially birds, ducks but also ibexes and monkeys (so don't leave anything loose in the card, because they'll search it in no time).
You can walk to Woods by trolley bus. At Lakes, you must rent a card because of the long distances between the tees (especially on the second 9 holes). It is best to reserve in advance. After 2 p.m. it is practically impossible to get a card!

We have the space, immediately allowed to play after unusually strong, hour-long downpours at the beginning of this year's SA tour, and were pleased that the court then was as good playable. Everything was in good condition, just some puddles, mostly in lowering the cart-way, witnessed by the flood waters.
The Greens, however, were unexpectedly slow.
