The London Scottish Golf Club and its course were opened in 1865!
The oldest course in and around London, built by the great Tom Dunn, is the second oldest golf course in all of England after the Royal North Devon (1864)! Today, the London Scottish Golf Club shares the course with Wimbledon Common Golf Club. It's a cool thing to play 18 holes of two clubs. Hole 1 on Common is hole 12 of the London Scottish Course. It's worth a visit for its tradition and history; the course itself is partly quite good and partly rather rustic.
